WATCH: George Strait appears in space-themed grocery ad in Texas during Super Bowl LVI

Surprise! George Strait appeared in a Super Bowl LVI commercial for HEB (Here everything is better).

Unfortunately you probably couldn’t see it unless you live in the state of Texas because the ad presumably only aired in the Lone Star State because that’s where the grocery chain.

During the 60-second commercial clip, The King Of Country Music appeared as part of a space-themed grocery store commercial called: “Mission Critical”.

The video opens “somewhere in Texas” at an undisclosed space center, dubbed Space Tex, for “the latest launch in the era of private space travel.”

As the clip continues, GHTV 10 News anchor Lena Delgado appears, sharing that “everything seems to be on track” for the latest space launch.

“Wait for launch, we’re short on supplies,” Strait, also known as Lone Star One in the clip, is heard saying over the command center intercom, prompting the director to ask “What what provides Lone Star One?It is a fifteen minute flight.

Strait’s partner on the flight said the supplies were “mission critical” as the command center then reported a “vehicle approaching the launch pad” with groceries from HEB.

“Right on time,” Strait told delivery driver HEB, delivering a red bag of groceries, as the doors of the Space Tex spacecraft opened, showing the “Check Yes Or No” singer and his two colleagues.

“Thank you partner,” the country icon told delivery man HEB, before telling his colleagues, “we can’t orbit on an empty stomach.”

“The taste Texans crave no matter where they go,” the clip read during the spacecraft launch.

After showing the grocery store logo, Strait reappeared, this time with an acoustic guitar and a headset, asking his co-workers, “Any requests?”
