Mary Ann Prochaska, 91, of Lorena, passed away on Sunday August 8, 2021. Christian Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 am on Friday August 13 at St. Jerome Catholic Church, Waco, with Fr. Rakshaganathan Selvaraj as a celebrant. The cemetery incarceration service will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, August 14, at Robstown Memorial Park in Robstown, Texas. Visitations will be 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday at OakCrest Funeral Home, 4520 Bosque Boulevard, Waco, with the Rosary led by Deacon Greg George at 7 p.m.

Mary Ann was born July 31, 1930 in Bluntzer, Texas, to Lee Roy and Isabel (Bluntzer) Wright. After graduating from high school in 1947, she attended Our Lady of the Lake University. She married Frankie G. Prochaska on November 20, 1954 and worked for over 30 years in public works, including the town of Hewitt, while raising three children. She was a member of St. Jerome Catholic Church where she volunteered in various ministries. She enjoyed sewing, cooking, dancing with Frankie, traveling and spending time with her grandchildren.

Mary Ann was predeceased by her husband, Frankie; Parents; sisters, Cecilia (Dede) Mills, Esilla (Sugar) Lawley and Marcia; and his brother, Lee Roy (Pete) Wright, Jr.

Mary Ann is survived by her children, James (Jimmy) Prochaska and his wife, Donna, Elizabeth (Bebe) Young and her husband, Gary and Joseph (Joe); grandchildren, Justin and his wife, Liz, Travis, Monica, Katie, Jonathan and his wife, Lana and Callan; and his brother, Michael (Mike) and his wife, Myrna.
