Is your new iPhone 14 Pro, Pro Max not responding after data transfer? Apple is investigating the issue – Apple (NASDAQ:AAPL)

Apple, Inc. AAPL The iPhone 14 could give the company headaches just weeks after its launch.

What happened: Apple is investigating a bug that could cause iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max models to freeze when transferring data from an older iPhone, MacRumors reported, citing an internal memo it had access to.

Apple reportedly said in the memo that it was aware of the issue and was investigating. The latest iteration of high-end iPhone models might freeze and become unresponsive after performing an iCloud restore or transferring data from the previous iPhone during the “fast boot” process, he added.

As a workaround, Cupertino has asked iPhone users to restart the device if it becomes unresponsive for more than five minutes.

The report also noted that iPhone 14 Pro customers encountered a similar issue last week while activating the device. An iOS 16.0.1 update must be installed after setting up the device as a solution, the post added.

Why it matters: Apple’s flagship iPhones generate about half of the company’s revenue. Early indications from pre-order levels show that adoption, especially for the high-end iPhone 14 models, has been strong.
