Make a happy noise! It’s Christmas in Lindsborg! According to the Visit Lindsborg organization, there will be plenty of holiday-inspired activities over the coming weeks.

Celebrate the season with great musical opportunities at Bethany College. Sunday December 5 at 4:00 p.m. at the Presser Hall, Dr Hentus van Rooyen and Pastor Amy Truhe present Comfort and joy: a hymn to the Christmas bell. Pastor Truhe will provide reflections while Dr van Rooyen will lead the Bethany College Handbell Ensemble. Other sets of bells from Trinity United Methodist Church, Lutheran Church of the Redeemer and Episcopal Cathedral of Christ, all from Salina, will also be on display.

On Thursday December 9, the Bethany College Jazz Ensemble and Symphonic Band will take the stage with English country setting by Pierre LaPlante. The conductors are Dr Keith Dobson and Sean Keasling. Start of the show at 7:30 p.m.

A Bethany Choir Christmas performs Meditations & Celebrations Sunday, December 12 at 4 p.m. Join the choirs of Bethany College for an afternoon of Christmas music celebrating the birth of Christ. A voluntary donation will be made to support the choir’s tour of Washington, DC in May. This event will also be broadcast live.

All Bethany College music events are held free of charge at Presser Hall and are open to the public. Masks are compulsory for everyone.

Visit the Lindsborg Old Mill & Swedish Heritage Museum for live music, children’s crafts, theater, Old Mill tours and more on Saturday, December 11 from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. With an on-site bake sale, the Museum & Gift Shop will also be open. Entrance is by donation, with regular admission to the museum and the mill and hours that day from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The staff and board of the Lindsborg Old Mill & Swedish Heritage Museum invite Lindsborg lovers from near and far to visit, learn about the museum’s ‘on the grow’ plans, then show their support by joining the museum as a member, donor or as a seasonal or event sponsor.

With memberships ranging from $ 40 to $ 125 / year and donor levels starting at $ 250, the options are plentiful. Just click facebook.com/oldmillmuseumlindsborg for more details, or contact staff at 785-227-3595 or [email protected].
