Sjuts to assume new role of Director of Saint Francis Cancer Services

The Saint Francis Health System is pleased to welcome Elliot Sjuts as Director of Cancer Services, effective June 2021.

Sjuts will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the cancer services and for managing the clinical, operational and financial activities of Cape Medical and Radiation Oncology.

“As a cancer control program accredited by the Commission on Cancer, the multidisciplinary team at the Saint Francis Cancer Institute provides the highest quality, patient-centered care,” said Lisa Newcomer, MBA, RRT , director of the cancer services service line for Saint Francis. “Elliot will be an asset as we continue to provide a full range of diagnostic and treatment services to the communities we are called to serve. “

Sjuts received his Associate of Science degree in Radiologic Technology from Southeast Community College in 2011, followed by a Bachelor of Science in Radiation Therapy from Oregon Health and Sciences University in 2014. He received his Masters of Business Administration from Southern Oregon University in 2020.

He joins Saint Francis from SCL Health St. Vincent Cancer Centers in Montana with 2,200 clinical hours and seven years of professional experience in supervisory roles.

Sjuts is accredited by the American Society of Radiologic Technologists, the American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare Providers, and the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
